In my many years of teaching, and especially these last eight years since the start of the Ankrum Institute, I have had the joy and the privilege of seeing a powerful new paradigm in bodywork begin to move out into the world. This is the paradigm I was taught and have expanded and developed in three decades of private practice and in trainings around the world, constantly learning and deepening in the work. With every person who decides to start on this path, the potential for greater health in this world grows and grows. That’s a mission I’m proud to offer to you as we begin the penultimate formal Ankrum Institute Training in January 2025.

The Ankrum Institute School of Functional Bodywork is 500 hours of in-depth, comprehensive training in every system of the body. Fascial. Craniosacral. Musculoskeletal. Visceral. And more. Most of all, we look for the ways in which these systems are interconnected, seeking out the core issues that are really driving people’s pain patterns and dysfunctions, as well as the other issues that often exist as a result of that main one. And always, we are learning to listen to the body, rather than operating by formulas and pre-set treatment plans. This bigger, deeper, more true-to-life perspective really makes the difference in what can happen for clients in the treatment room.
